It’s been a while since my last entry, but you know what they say: new year, new beginning. Of course, I have no idea what’s the exact set phrase, I just love patching them up as they come through my mind.
During the last 2018 weekend, I was lucky to leave Bucharest for a few days and I got to make a stop at Cinciș lake, which is very close to Hunedoara.
Cinciș is a barrier lake that covers an old village that’s been relocated since 1962. When the water level is low, parts of the old church can be seen from the end of the dam.
The overall view was spectacular but a bit too snowless for this time of the year 😦
The 2nd and last stop was in Alba-Iulia. Here, I was glad to revisit the famous citadel, a place of great historical significance, associated with the Great Union of 1918 and the coronation of Ferdinand I and Mary, the first monarchs of Greater Romania.
Street box-libraries should become a thing! It always brings me joy to see these, hopefully, they’re also used by someone.
Probably some “tricolor” confetti from the 100th national anniversary from a month ago.
Before you leave, take a peek at the latest cross aka Facebook logo monument.
